I have 3 plants of this one:
#1465A Yucca filamentosa Hybrid?, planted
in a unprotected bed.
#1465B Yucca filamentosa Hybrid?, grown
in a pot which is in a protected frame during the winter.
#1465C Yucca filamentosa Hybrid?, planted
in a unprotected bed.
They may be of the same clone?
#1465A Yucca filamentosa
Hybrid?,
This plant is grown in a bed which is unprotected during the winter.

Where did I get the plant from:
I got the plant from the nursery Landlyst
in Hjørring in 2000.
Short description of the plant:
Plant: acaulescent with several large rosettes, forming short
rhizomes. Leaves: dark gray green, rather stiff, 60 long, 3,5-4
cm wide around the middle, roughened surface in lines, slightly glaucous,
with many rather thick curly fibers at the margin of the leaves. Inflorescence:
pubescent, 125 cm high, paniculate with many branches up to 20 cm long,
held in an upright angle. Scape: 80 cm starting from well above
the leaves. Flowers: pendulous (bell shaped), white, 5 to 7,5 cm
across. Fruit purplish-green, rough surface, slightly constricted,
22- 27 mm thick and 50-55 mm long, variously and irregularly flattened
in places, as if saved off with a knife.
Seeds not know at the time of writing!
Where do I grow the plant:
I grow it a raised well drained bed, but I will try it in "normal"
garden soil, when I start to propagate it.
Hardiness:
At the time of writing have I only grown it for a short time, so I
can't really say if it will survive a hard winter, but it's promising,
and a good bloomer which also is very important!
Other notes:
In the summer of 2003 I tried to pollinate the flowers with pollen
from a some different Yuccas:
#1465A Yucca filamentosa X #454C Yucca
arkansana (stiff narrow leaded form), 5 flowers pollinated,
= 1 fruit (4 aborted)
#1465A Yucca filamentosa X #49 Yucca
flaccida, 2 flowers pollinated = 2 aborted!
#1465A Yucca filamentosa X #1461
Yucca
glauca, 6 flowers pollinated = 5 fruits (1 aborted).
I also used the pollen from this plant to pollinate the following:
#454C Yucca arkansana (stiff narrow
leaded form) X #1465A
Yucca filamentosa, 3 flowers pollinated,
= 1 fruit (2 aborted)
#49 Yucca flaccida X #1465A Yucca
filamentosa, 1 flower pollinated = 0 fruits, (1 aborted)
#1461
Yucca glauca X #1465A Yucca
filamentosa, 4 flowers pollinated = 0 fruits. (4 aborted,
two of these were 11 days before they aborted!?)

Where do I grow the plant:
It's grown in a large pot in a unheated frame which is protected against
winter moisture.

I also used the pollen from this plant to pollinate the following:
#818 Yucca 'Bright Edge' X #1465B
Yucca
