Hardiness:
I have grown this variety since 1992, and I have a large plant in a
well drained raised bed with out any protection at all, so far it's OK,
but the snow sometimes makes it look rather sad in the spring. I would
expect it to look better if it was covered. the frost doesn't do a thing
with this one....
Notes:
Yucca angustissima ssp. kaibabensis is one of our most
striking species. The tall inflorescence, extending well above the leaves,
short penducle (included within the leaves), and for long slender leaves
are diagnostic in combination for this handsome plant.
